Achraf Hakimi suffered a mild right thigh injury after being withdrawn early during Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 away victory at Brest on Sunday evening in the closing match of Ligue 1’s fourth round. The Paris club provided an update on their right-back’s condition on Monday without ruling him out.

Visibly uncomfortable shortly before half-time, the Morocco international was replaced by Fabian Ruiz in the 39th minute. In a statement released the following day, PSG confirmed that Hakimi “will remain under treatment over the next two days” before “a fresh medical assessment is carried out at the end of this period”.

The injury comes at a particularly delicate point in the fixture list: the Classique against Olympique de Marseille is scheduled for next Sunday. The former Real Madrid player has not been officially ruled out, but his participation remains conditional on the results of upcoming medical evaluations.

On the sporting front, the victory at Brest marks PSG’s first Ligue 1 win of the season, with the defending double European champions having been slow to get their domestic campaign underway.
