Gonçalo Ramos punishes goalkeeper's blunder as Portugal tops group in Norway

Portugal secured their second victory in as many Nations League matches with a 2-1 win in Oslo on Sunday, during the second matchday of group 4. Cristiano Ronaldo, left on the bench for the entire match, was not missed: João Felix and Gonçalo Ramos were enough to make the difference.

The start of the match favored Norway, who were more comfortable in possession and more dangerous in the first half. But it was Portugal who opened the scoring: on a service from Pedro Neto, João Felix found the breakthrough in the 17th minute to give the visitors the advantage at halftime.

Erling Haaland leveled the two teams in the 51st minute, capitalizing on a scramble in the Portuguese penalty area. The joy of local supporters lasted only three minutes. The Norwegian goalkeeper gifted the decisive goal to Gonçalo Ramos by launching the ball straight up the middle directly to the striker, who had only to finish (1-2, 54th). The former Paris Saint-Germain player, now at AC Milan, even thought he had a brace in the 59th minute, but VAR ruled out an offside.

With six points from two matches, the Seleção occupies sole first place in group 4. Norway remains second thanks to a better goal difference ahead of Denmark, who beat Wales earlier in the day.
