Gazza and Southgate audiobooks available free as England's World Cup campaign nears
Amazon is offering Prime members a free three-month Audible trial ahead of England's World Cup opener, with titles including Paul Gascoigne's memoir Eight and Gareth Southgate's Dear England: Lessons in Leadership among the available books.
Amazon is making a trio of England football audiobooks available at no cost to Prime members in the days before England’s opening game at the 2026 World Cup, with titles covering Paul Gascoigne, Gareth Southgate and the inside story of the Three Lions’ road to the tournament.
The offer grants Prime members a free three-month Audible subscription, during which they can claim one free audiobook per month. The headline titles are Paul Gascoigne’s memoir Eight, Southgate’s leadership book Dear England: Lessons in Leadership, and a newly updated edition of Inside England: Behind the Scenes of the Three Lions’ World Cup Dream, revised to cover England’s qualification campaign through to Thomas Tuchel’s reign.
In Eight, Gascoigne reflects on his rise as one of England’s most celebrated players — 35 years on from his iconic Italia 90 performance — as well as the personal struggles he has faced since. The memoir has been described as “honest, raw and moving”.
Dear England sees Southgate revisit the pivotal moments that shaped his management philosophy, from his penalty miss at Euro 96 through to steering England through four major tournaments as national team boss. He outlines the principles behind his most significant decisions and how he managed pressure at the highest level.
Inside England is co-written by Jonathan Northcroft and Rob Draper — European Football Writer of the Year and Chief Football Correspondent at the Sunday Times respectively — who were granted behind-the-scenes access to the England squad across both the Southgate and Tuchel eras. Those who sign up by 10 July will also receive a £10 Audible credit. The subscription provides access to a library of more than 900,000 titles as well as unlimited podcasts.
Once the three-month trial ends, the membership renews automatically at £5.99 per month unless cancelled. The offer is not open to existing Audible members or anyone currently on an Audible trial.
