Ryan Gandra continued his rapid rise through the UFC middleweight division by knocking out Zach Reese in just 75 seconds at UFC 329, held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. The Brazilian improved to 2-0 in the UFC and stretched his overall record to 10-1 with a fourth consecutive first-round finish.

Gandra was the aggressor from the opening seconds, pressing forward until a looping left hand broke through Reese’s guard and sent him to the canvas. Referee Mike Beltran waved off the contest moments later as Gandra followed up with a flurry of heavy punches, leaving Reese no opportunity to recover.

The stoppage extended Gandra’s winning streak to nine fights. He earned his UFC contract earlier in 2025 via the Dana White Contender Series, where he also finished Trent Miller inside the first round, underlining a pattern that has become his calling card at every level of competition.

For Reese, the defeat was a difficult one. The American fell to 4-4 (1 NC) inside the UFC and has now lost back-to-back bouts, with his overall record sitting at 10-4 (1 NC). He will need to arrest that slide quickly to preserve his place on the roster.

At 75 seconds, Gandra’s finish was among the quickest of the night and reinforced his reputation as one of the division’s most dangerous early-round threats. With four straight first-round knockouts and a near-perfect professional record, the Brazilian middleweight is building a case for a step up in competition.
