Galtier picks all-PSG trio for Ballon d'Or, with Fabian Ruiz leading the way
Former PSG manager Christophe Galtier is backing Fabian Ruiz, Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the Ballon d'Or, whose ceremony takes place in London on October 26.
Christophe Galtier has made his prediction for the 2025 Ballon d’Or: the former Paris Saint-Germain manager sees an entirely Parisian podium on October 26 in London, with a marked preference for Fabian Ruiz.
“If you look at the trophies won, I would name Fabian Ruiz,” Galtier told Le Parisien. “If you focus on matches, I think Ousmane Dembélé, even though he hasn’t played much, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have been very impressive. One of these three players deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.”
Yet it is the Spanish international who stands out in the eyes of the manager, currently in position at Neom in Saudi Arabia. “If there is one player who allows the collective to be so well-oiled, it’s him. He sees everything before others, he compensates for movements, he understands football,” he elaborated.
The ceremony, which will take place in London for the first time, will name the successor to Ousmane Dembélé on the trophy’s roll of honour. The presence of three players from the same club among the favourites designated by Galtier illustrates the weight PSG has gained on the European stage this season.
