England's retro 1982 World Cup shirt discounted ahead of Argentina semi-final
England's classic 1982 World Cup home shirt has been reduced to £35 at Pro:Direct Sport, with cashback deals cutting the price further ahead of Wednesday's semi-final against Argentina in Atlanta.
England’s iconic 1982 World Cup home shirt is available at a significant discount ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final against Argentina in Atlanta, with the retro replica currently reduced from £50 to £35 at Pro:Direct Sport.
The classic white strip — worn during England’s unbeaten but ultimately unsuccessful 1982 campaign in Spain — features red, white and blue horizontal stripes across the chest and shoulders, with the Three Lions crest on the left breast below a v-neck collar. A matching 1982 away shirt in red is also available.
The shirts were last worn competitively at the tournament in Spain, where a squad including Bryan Robson, Terry Butcher and Kevin Keegan progressed through the first group stage unbeaten before draws against West Germany and Spain ended their campaign in the second group stage without a defeat.
The discount arrives as Thomas Tuchel’s England prepare for one of the most anticipated fixtures in recent international football, a World Cup semi-final against long-time rivals Argentina. Should England advance, a potential final against Spain would add further historical resonance to the throwback kit, given that the two nations met at that same stage in 1982.
England and Spain are also scheduled to meet in the Nations League at Wembley on 26 September, providing another occasion on which supporters may choose to wear the retro strip.
