De Bruyne and wife steal the show at Louis Vuitton's Paris Fashion Week finale
Kevin De Bruyne attended Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Louvre during a Paris trip with the Belgian national team, sitting alongside Zendaya, Emma Stone and Ana de Armas while suspended from Belgium's 4-1 Nations League defeat to France.
Kevin De Bruyne and his wife Michele Lacroix turned up at one of fashion’s most high-profile events last week, taking their seats at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Louvre as Paris Fashion Week drew to a close under designer Nicolas Ghesquière.
The Napoli midfielder was in the French capital with the Belgian national team ahead of their UEFA Nations League fixture against France, but sat out the 4-1 defeat through suspension. Rather than watch from the stands, De Bruyne and Lacroix joined a star-studded front row that included Zendaya, Emma Stone, Ana de Armas, Pharrell Williams and Jaden Smith.
De Bruyne kept his look understated in an all-black jacket and trousers combination, while Lacroix drew attention in a striking red skirt paired with a black leather jacket. Paris carries personal significance for the couple: De Bruyne proposed to Lacroix at the Eiffel Tower in 2016, and the pair married the following year. They have three children together.
Their relationship began in unlikely fashion. De Bruyne was on loan at Werder Bremen when Lacroix liked one of his posts on X. By his own account, he had little confidence in approaching her — it was a friend who grabbed his phone and sent the opening message on his behalf.
“It started with a tweet,” De Bruyne told The Players’ Tribune in 2019. “I was probably on the floor, cringing, but for some reason I said, ‘OK, fine, send it.’ Says it all, no? I’m supposed to be this big footballer, and I didn’t even have the heart to slide into my future wife’s DMs.”
The pair got to know each other over text before eventually meeting in person. De Bruyne, who left Manchester City in the summer of 2025 after more than a decade at the club, has since settled at Napoli.
