Carabao Cup quarter-final draw set as Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City chase last eight
The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will take place on Wednesday night, immediately after Liverpool host Chelsea in the fourth round at Anfield. Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle and Aston Villa are also among the contenders still in the competition.
The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw is scheduled for Wednesday evening, taking place immediately after Liverpool’s fourth-round tie against Chelsea at Anfield, which kicks off at 8pm and is expected to conclude around 9.45pm, barring a penalty shootout.
Several Premier League heavyweights remain in contention for the trophy. Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are all still in the hunt, with the quarter-final fixtures set to be played in the week commencing 14 December.
The draw is not the only storyline worth watching in the fourth round. Arsenal travel to face League Two side Fleetwood Town, meaning at least one lower-league club is guaranteed a place in the last eight — Bradford City and Peterborough United are also contesting a fourth-round tie, ensuring a League One representative in the quarter-finals regardless of that result.
Manchester City face Brighton in another notable fourth-round fixture, while the round concludes on Thursday evening when Everton host Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
The quarter-final draw will be conducted by former players Conor Coady and Graham Le Saux.
