According to odds set by English bookmakers, PSG is the European club most likely to welcome Didier Deschamps to its bench, ahead of Olympique de Marseille, Juventus Turin and Real Madrid.

The former France manager, whose fourteen-year tenure ended after Euro 2024, has not yet taken on a new position. A sabbatical remains the most probable scenario according to these same bookmakers, with odds of 2.25. If a destination were to materialize before the end of the current season, Saudi Arabia would lead across all competitions (odds at 3.5), driven by persistent interest from the local market.

In Europe, PSG is given odds of 5, which may be surprising: Luis Enrique has extended his contract with the Paris club until 2030, as has sporting director Luis Campos. Next come Marseille (7), Juventus Turin (10), the Italian national team (10), Monaco (11) and Real Madrid (16).

Since the end of his tenure, Deschamps has received several concrete offers. Al-Ahli, in Saudi Arabia, submitted a three-year offer with a salary of several million euros per season — which he declined. Contacts are said to have also taken place with Turkish clubs, and his name has circulated around Real Madrid and the Italian Football Federation.

The two-time World Cup winner — as a player in 1998, as manager in 2018 — has indicated he will only return to work if the sporting project matches his ambitions. In the meantime, he divides his time between Cap d’Ail and Concarneau, where he recently attended a match of the local club, which plays in Ligue 3.
