BKFC president eyes Darren Till showdown for Mike Perry after Dillon Danis fight
BKFC president David Feldman says he is confident he can book Mike Perry against Darren Till in early 2027, but must first wait to see how Perry's August 29 MMA fight against Dillon Danis plays out.
BKFC president David Feldman has confirmed he believes a fight between Mike Perry and Darren Till can be made for early 2027, but says negotiations will only begin in earnest once Perry has faced Dillon Danis in an MMA bout scheduled for August 29 in Florida.
Perry, widely regarded as the face of bare-knuckle fighting, has not competed in BKFC since October 2025. He returned to MMA in May, defeating Nate Diaz on the inaugural MVP MMA card on Netflix, and now turns his attention to Danis before any potential return to the promotion that made him a superstar.
“I can’t even give you that answer right now,” Feldman told MMA Fighting when asked whether Perry would return to BKFC. “We’ll see what happens with the Dillon Danis fight. We’ll see as we start talking and negotiate what we can do. I will say confidently, I do think I can make this match — Darren Till versus Mike Perry — early in [2027], I do think I can make that from conversations with both of them. But we’ll see how it plays out.”
Feldman made clear he has no concerns about the outcome against Danis, a grappling specialist with limited striking credentials. “If Dillon Danis and Mike Perry were standing up and fighting, I’d say Perry walks through him very easily,” he said. “Danis can grapple. That’s his thing. But I just think Mike’s too tough for a guy like him. I think you’ll see Mike come out victorious on the other end, and we’ll get into negotiations.”
Perry still has bouts remaining on his BKFC contract but has been permitted to pursue outside opportunities, including both the Diaz fight and the upcoming Danis card. Feldman acknowledged a degree of frustration over contract talks, noting that Perry has publicly called for more money while simultaneously accepting lower purses elsewhere.
“It’s funny. Nothing against Mike, but he says to me ‘let’s talk, we’ve got to talk about the money’ and then he goes and says he’s fought for less money,” Feldman said. “What are we talking about? We’ll see. I know why he did it. It’s his hometown. He’s trying to prove something there.”
Despite the uncertainty, Feldman struck a supportive tone toward Perry and the MVP MMA promotion, saying he hopes the August event sells well. His position is straightforward: watch the Danis fight, then sit down and map out what comes next for Perry in BKFC — with Till waiting in the wings.
