Sir David Beckham attended the World Cup semi-final in Atlanta alongside his family, while Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson were also spotted in the crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Sir David Beckham joined a star-studded crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Wednesday as England faced Argentina in the World Cup semi-final, accompanied by Lady Victoria and their children Romeo, Harper, and Cruz, who brought his partner Jackie Apostel.
Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger was also present in the stands, continuing his well-documented habit of attending high-profile football fixtures. One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and American rapper Tauheed Epps — better known as 2 Chainz — were among the other notable faces spotted at the game.
Thousands of England supporters made the trip to Atlanta for the high-stakes encounter against the defending champions, with the air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz Stadium providing relief from the Georgia heat. Fans described a mood of cautious optimism ahead of kick-off, though many acknowledged concern over the presence of Lionel Messi in the Argentina side.
Back in England, supporters packed pubs and fan zones to follow the action, with the hospitality industry projecting sales of six million extra pints on the night.
The winner of the semi-final will face Spain in the World Cup final on 19 July.
