Barcola camp stays calm as Liverpool close in on PSG winger with final bid imminent

Bradley Barcola’s entourage are not panicking as negotiations between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain drag into the final days of the summer transfer window, with all parties growing increasingly optimistic that a deal will be concluded before the 11pm deadline on 1 September.

According to a report from L’Equipe, Liverpool are readying a final bid for the French winger that they are confident PSG will accept, following weeks of talks that have gradually narrowed the gap between the two clubs’ valuations. New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has made signing a winger a priority, and Barcola has emerged as the leading target.

PSG have left Barcola out of their squad for their last two matches — the French Super Cup defeat to Lens and the UEFA Super Cup victory over Aston Villa, in which he was an unused substitute. He was photographed training the day before the Super Cup and attended the match, suggesting his absence is transfer-related rather than disciplinary.
