Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz in €100m move — but Juventus deal pushes transfer to next summer

Arsenal have identified Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz as their primary attacking target, but a new contract at the Italian club and the tightening transfer window make a deal before the deadline increasingly unlikely, with a €100m move now pencilled in for next summer.

Arsenal are tracking Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz as a potential €100 million signing, but the Gunners appear set to wait until next summer to pursue the deal, according to a report relayed by Sport Witness from Italian outlet TuttoSport.

The Turkish international has been a long-standing target for Mikel Arteta’s side, who have also explored moves for Vinicius Jr and Morgan Rogers to fill the left-wing role. However, Juventus handed Yildiz a new contract earlier this year, significantly complicating any short-term approach. With the transfer window closing soon, Sport Witness notes that the Turin club would have little time to find a replacement, making a summer exit for the 19-year-old all but impossible.

Arsenal’s position heading into the new Premier League season reflects a deliberate approach from Arteta, who is said to prefer waiting for the right target over panic-buying before the deadline. FourFourTwo understands the club will only move for an attacker they consider a genuine upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli, who remains available for transfer.

The Gunners have added Bruno Guimarães, Christos, and Ezri Konsa to their squad ahead of the new campaign, but a difference-making forward has so far eluded them. Yildiz, valued at €75 million by Transfermarkt, is now being discussed internally as a €100 million option for the summer of 2026.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are also working to resolve the future of Gabriel Jesus, who has attracted reported interest from Barcelona and Napoli. Barcelona are said to view the Brazilian striker as a potential alternative to Julián Álvarez — a target they continue to pursue — meaning Jesus’s situation may not be resolved until the final days of the window.
