Arsenal handed £200m double-deal green light as Barcola talks stall at PSG
Arsenal are being linked with a busy summer window as PSG open the door to a Bradley Barcola sale and Gunners legend Ray Parlour urges the club to pursue a £200m double swoop for Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi.
Arsenal’s summer transfer plans have received a significant boost, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly open to selling winger Bradley Barcola and club legend Ray Parlour publicly backing a £200m double move for Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi ahead of the window opening on June 15.
Mikel Arteta acknowledged after Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to PSG last month that the Premier League champions must strengthen to compete at the highest level in Europe. A left winger is understood to be among the Spaniard’s top priorities, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli having failed to nail down consistent starting berths on that flank.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, PSG have grown open to parting ways with Barcola this summer after contract extension talks stalled. The 23-year-old Frenchman scored 13 goals and contributed seven assists across 49 appearances in all competitions this season, though he played second fiddle at times to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following the Georgian’s arrival at the Parc des Princes. Barcola has previously been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool.
Separately, Parlour has urged Arsenal to pursue a bold double deal in the attacking midfield and striker positions. Speaking to Mirror Football, the former Gunners midfielder backed moves for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi — a combination that would cost a reported £200m based on the clubs’ valuations.
“I think Rogers is a fantastic player. He can play off the left-hand side as well. I think we need someone off the left. I don’t know what will happen with Trossard or Martinelli, but Rogers can play in the No. 10 role as well,” Parlour said.
Rogers, who won the Europa League with Aston Villa this season, is set to represent England at the 2026 World Cup. Villa are reportedly seeking £100m for the attacking midfielder. Kroupi, 19, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Bournemouth, scoring 13 goals in his debut Premier League season at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries are said to be holding out for a similar £100m fee.
With 15 Arsenal players involved in the 2026 World Cup, Arteta faces a compressed pre-season window in which to reshape his squad before the new campaign begins.
