Aline Pereira will fight Smilla Sundell for a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series on October 13 in Las Vegas, MMA Fighting confirmed following a report from Leo Guimaraes. The bout gives the younger sister of two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira a direct path onto the same roster as her brother.
Pereira, who turns 36 one week before the fight, has been in strong form since 2024. She scored two knockouts before claiming the Karate Combat title, then returned to MMA and posted back-to-back decisions over Nejra Repp and Jade Masson-Wong in LFA and MVP respectively, lifting her MMA record to 3-2.
Sundell arrives with her own striking pedigree. The Swedish fighter competed five times under ONE Championship, winning and defending the muay Thai flyweight title and also claiming victory in her sole kickboxing bout for the Asian promotion. She transitioned to MMA earlier this year and went 2-0 in Tuff-N-Uff, finishing both Miranda Barber and Maya Stewart by knockout.
The matchup pits two strikers with contrasting MMA experience against each other. Pereira brings the name recognition and a recent title from Karate Combat, while Sundell’s unbeaten MMA record and finishing ability make her a credible threat for anyone seeking a UFC deal on the Contender Series.
