Aline Pereira set to chase UFC contract against former One muay thai champion Sundell

Aline Pereira is reportedly on the verge of following her brother into the UFC, with the 35-year-old Brazilian set to face Smilla Sundell in a bantamweight contest on the final episode of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 on Oct. 13 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The matchup was first reported by journalist Leo Guimaraes.

Aline is the younger sister of Alex Pereira, the former two-division UFC champion. Although her professional MMA record stands at 3-2, she brings considerable striking pedigree to the cage — a 6-2 mark in kickboxing and an unbeaten 3-0 run in Karate Combat. Her most recent outing came at Most Valuable Promotions’ inaugural MMA event, where she defeated Jade Masson-Wong.

Her opponent presents a stiff test despite limited pro MMA experience. Sundell, 21, is undefeated at 2-0 in MMA, with both victories coming by technical knockout under the Tuff-N-Uff banner. The Swede built her reputation in One Championship, where she won and successfully defended the muay thai strawweight title, establishing herself as one of the more decorated young strikers in combat sports.

The contrast in profiles makes for a compelling Contender Series headliner. Aline carries name recognition and a well-rounded striking base; Sundell offers youth, finishing ability, and championship credentials from a rival promotion. A win for either fighter on the DWCS stage typically earns a UFC contract offer from Dana White.
