Zidane makes ten changes and debuts two new starters against Belgium in Nations League
For France's final international window match against Belgium, Zinédine Zidane retains only Ousmane Dembélé from his starting eleven against Italy, notably giving Guillaume Restes and Leny Yoro their first starts.
Zinédine Zidane makes ten changes to France’s starting eleven for the Nations League match against Belgium on Monday evening. Only Ousmane Dembélé retains his place from the 1-1 draw against Italy last Friday.
The national team manager gives two players their debut in the French starting eleven: goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, who replaces Mike Maignan in goal, and centre-back Leny Yoro, who takes the place of an injured Jérémy Jacquet. Dembélé, usually deployed as a striker by Zidane, is repositioned on the right wing. Estéban Lepaul will occupy the central attacking role, with Bradley Barcola on the left flank.
In defence, Jules Koundé, Maxence Lacroix and Andy Diouf complete an entirely reshuffled back line. The midfield will be composed of Eduardo Camavinga, positioned in front of defence, as well as Manu Koné and Maghnes Akliouche.
The eleven selected against the Red Devils, whom the Blues had beaten the previous week in Brussels (1-0), is as follows: Restes — Koundé, Yoro, Lacroix, Diouf — Akliouche, Camavinga, Koné — Dembélé (capt.), Lepaul, Barcola.
