Adrian Yanez is set to return to the Octagon against Juan Diaz in a bantamweight contest at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, according to reporter Marcel Dorff. The bout marks the third matchup reported for the card, with the UFC yet to make any official announcements.

Yanez heads into the fight on the back of a statement performance — a knockout victory over former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in July. That win was only his second in the past three years, making the Garbrandt result a significant moment in his attempt to re-establish himself in the division.

Diaz presents a stern test. The 16-1-1 prospect earned his UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series last year and wasted no time making an impression, submitting Malcolm Wellmaker in his Octagon debut in May. He arrives on a nine-fight winning streak and has never been stopped in his professional career — a record that adds a layer of intrigue to the stylistic matchup against the finishing-heavy Yanez.

The card at MSG is beginning to take shape around the reported headliners. Alongside Yanez vs. Diaz, Bilal Hasan vs. Luis Gurule and Nazim Sadykhov vs. Jefferson Nascimento have also been linked to UFC 334, though none of the bouts have been confirmed by the promotion.
