Bilal Hasan will make his Madison Square Garden debut when he faces Luis Gurule at UFC 334 on November 14 in New York, MMA Fighting has confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup.

Hasan arrives at the bout with a perfect 10-0 record and a growing reputation as one of the most explosive fighters to emerge from Dana White’s Contender Series this season. The 25-year-old secured his UFC contract with a 45-second knockout of Mridul Saikia on August 3, then turned around just 18 days later to stop Nilson Rojas in the second round at UFC Shanghai — a rapid-fire start that has drawn significant attention inside the sport.

Gurule, meanwhile, enters the fight in difficult form. The fighter known as “Grim” carries an 11-4 record but has won just once in his last five outings. His most recent appearance came in May at UFC Macau, where Rei Tsuruya submitted him inside a round — the second of back-to-back fights in a fortnight, the first of which was a unanimous decision win over Daniel Barez, Gurule’s only UFC victory to date.

The pairing places Hasan against an opponent who knows the UFC environment but has struggled to find consistency at the level, setting up a test that will reveal how quickly the unbeaten prospect can step up in competition. UFC 334 is yet to have a main event announced.
