Unbeaten Nemkov puts PFL heavyweight title on line against Bilostenniy in Dubai

Vadim Nemkov will make the first defence of his PFL heavyweight title against Sergei Bilostenniy at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on November 14, the promotion announced Monday.

Nemkov (20-2, 1 NC) has not lost since 2016, compiling 14 wins and one no-contest across that stretch. The Russian fighter built his reputation as a four-time Bellator light heavyweight champion before moving up a division when PFL acquired Bellator. He is a perfect 3-0 at heavyweight and secured the vacant title last December with a first-round submission of Renan Ferreira.

Bilostenniy arrives in the main event on the back of his own victory over Ferreira, stopping the Brazilian veteran via strikes in the third round at PFL Sioux Falls. Across seven appearances in PFL and Bellator combined, the Ukrainian heavyweight holds a 5-2 record and has won five of his last six bouts. Among his notable results is a two-minute heel hook submission of current ranked UFC heavyweight Tyrell Fortune.

Nemkov is currently ranked No. 11 among all heavyweights in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, a notable position given that he spent the bulk of his career competing at 205 pounds. His transition to the heavier division has been seamless so far, and a successful first title defence in Dubai would further cement his standing as one of the most complete fighters outside the UFC.

Bilostenniy, meanwhile, represents a credible threat. His finishing ability — demonstrated against both Ferreira and Fortune — and his recent form make him a legitimate challenger rather than a showcase opponent. The November 14 card at Coca-Cola Arena shapes up as a genuine test of whether Nemkov’s unbeaten run can survive its sternest examination yet at heavyweight.
