The group stage draw for the UEFA Champions League 2026-2027 takes place on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The 36 qualified clubs will discover their eight opponents for the regular season, which will be played between September and January.

As with each edition, teams are divided into four pots based on their UEFA coefficient. Each club will face two opponents from each of the four pots, one at home and one away, for a total of eight matches. The first matchday of the group stage is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

As defending European champions, PSG logically features in pot 1, alongside Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

France has at least three representatives in this draw: PSG, Olympique Marseille, runners-up in Ligue 1 last season, and RC Strasbourg, third place, subject to validation of their respective qualifying rounds. Olympique Lyonnais is also in contention: the Lyon club played the second leg of their qualifying tie against Fenerbahçe on Wednesday, August 26 at Groupama Stadium, following a 1-1 first leg draw in Istanbul. The outcome of this match will determine whether or not a fourth French club participates in the draw.
