Trossard leaves Arsenal for Beşiktaş after three and a half years of loyal service
Leandro Trossard, the 31-year-old Belgian winger, joins Beşiktaş on a permanent deal for approximately 20 million euros. The Belgian international leaves behind 174 appearances, 36 goals and 34 assists in an Arsenal shirt.
Leandro Trossard has left Arsenal and joined Beşiktaş on a permanent transfer, announced by both clubs on 14 July 2026. The London club will receive 18 million euros, plus up to 2 million in bonuses, for a player signed from Brighton for 24 million euros in January 2023.
The 31-year-old Belgian winger departs after three and a half years at Emirates Stadium, following a season that will go down in the club’s history. Arsenal won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years before reaching the Ligue des Champions final, which they lost to Paris Saint-Germain — a match that proved to be Trossard’s last in red and white.
While Declan Rice, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães embodied Arsenal’s leading figures, Trossard played an equally decisive role, working in the shadows. In 174 appearances across all competitions, he scored 36 goals and provided 34 assists, quickly establishing himself as a regular starter under Mikel Arteta despite fierce competition on the wings.
The Belgian arrives in Turkey with a 2026 World Cup campaign in his legs: Belgium was eliminated from the tournament held in North America before his transfer was made official. Trossard was due to travel to Istanbul on 14 July to undergo his medical and sign his contract with Beşiktaş.
