Topuria and Gaethje both hit 155 as two UFC White House title fights made official
Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje both weighed in at exactly 155 pounds on Saturday, confirming their undisputed lightweight title fight for UFC White House on Sunday. Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane also made weight for an interim heavyweight title bout.
Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje both stepped on the scale at 155 pounds on Saturday, officially clearing the way for their undisputed UFC lightweight title fight at UFC White House on Sunday. Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane also made weight, setting up a second title contest on the same card.
Topuria (17-0) arrives unbeaten and in the form of his career. The 29-year-old Spaniard has torn through two divisions since his UFC debut in 2020, stopping Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira in succession to hold the featherweight and lightweight titles. Sunday marks his first fight of 2026.
Gaethje (27-5) enters as the interim lightweight champion and a genuine threat to cause one of the year’s biggest upsets. The 37-year-old American earned the interim belt by outworking Paddy Pimblett over five rounds while Topuria was sidelined. He has won four of his last five, his only defeat in that stretch a last-second knockout loss to Holloway in their BMF title fight. At 37, this is widely regarded as Gaethje’s final realistic shot at undisputed gold.
The co-main event carries its own historic weight. Alex Pereira (13-3), already a two-division champion at middleweight and light heavyweight, moves up to heavyweight for an interim title fight against Ciryl Gane (13-2). A win would make “Poatan” a UFC champion across three weight classes — an achievement no fighter has accomplished. Pereira weighed in at 251 pounds, Gane at 248. Gane’s path to the interim title fight came after his illegal eye pokes injured heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall last year.
Elsewhere on the card, former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley (135.5) faces Aiemann Zahabi (135), while heavyweight Derrick Lewis (265) meets Josh Hokit (231). Michael Chandler (156) and Mauricio Ruffy (155) are separated by a pound at lightweight, and Bo Nickal (186) squares off with Kyle Daukaus (186) at middleweight. Diego Lopes and Steve Garcia both hit 146 for their featherweight contest.
