Sedriques Dumas is no longer a UFC fighter, with the promotion removing the 30-year-old middleweight from its roster following his sentencing in Escambia County, Florida, on June 24. It remains unclear whether Dumas was released or had simply reached the end of his contract.

Dumas’s departure comes after a turbulent stretch that began with his arrest in April 2025 on charges including home invasion, battery, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Prosecutors ultimately dropped three of the five charges, and Dumas entered a no-contest plea to two counts: possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted Florida felon, and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.

The judge sentenced Dumas to six months of community control — effectively house arrest under Florida law — with both counts running concurrently, followed by 48 months of probation. He must also complete 50 hours of community service, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and follow any recommended treatment, attend anger management counselling, and maintain full-time employment throughout his sentence. He is prohibited from possessing weapons or firearms and must pay court-related fees.

Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Dumas competed three times in the UFC over the past year. His most recent appearance came in April, when he suffered a submission loss to Jackson McVey — his second consecutive defeat.

Since the sentencing, Dumas filed a motion on July 10 to modify his probation and community control terms. The court has not yet ruled on that request.

With his UFC tenure ending at nine fights, Dumas is now free to sign with any other promotion, though the UFC retains the option to re-sign him at a future date.
