Jairzinho Rozenstruik is returning to MMA after a two-year hiatus, having signed with Fight Nation Championship for a debut appearance at FNC 37 on 6 February 2027 in Munich. No opponent has yet been named for the 38-year-old Surinamese-Dutch heavyweight, known in the sport as “Bigi Boy.”

Rozenstruik parted ways with the UFC in February 2025 following a unanimous decision loss to Sergei Pavlovich, bringing an end to a run in the promotion that included notable victories over Tai Tuivasa, Shamil Gaziev, Junior dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, and Andrei Arlovski.

His departure from the UFC did not mark a full step away from combat sports. Rozenstruik competed in Dirty Boxing Championship, winning two bouts and claiming the promotion’s inaugural heavyweight title in August 2025. The FNC signing, however, represents his first scheduled return to mixed martial arts competition since leaving the UFC.

Now carrying a professional MMA record of 16-6, Rozenstruik arrives at FNC with a point still to prove at heavyweight. His experience against elite-level opposition during his UFC tenure — and the momentum of two Dirty Boxing wins — will make him a significant addition to the European promotion’s roster.

FNC 37 takes place in Munich, with further details on Rozenstruik’s opponent expected to be confirmed in the coming months.
