Kylian Mbappé lit up the Bernabéu on Sunday evening with a high-quality goal during the 9th-round La Liga clash between Real Madrid and FC Seville. From an action initiated by Jude Bellingham, the France captain finished in the 37th minute to give Real Madrid the cushion.

The move summed up the Frenchman’s repertoire perfectly: a roulette at the edge of the box to shake off his defender, a sharp acceleration, then a double touch to get past the Andalusian goalkeeper before finishing. All executed in a flash, with no hesitation or wasted motion.

The goal had been preceded by an already spectacular opening from Arda Güler, who fired home from distance in the 30th minute. But it was Mbappé’s finish that caught the eye for its technical brilliance.

It was the eighth goal for the former Paris player in nine La Liga matches this season, for a total of ten goals in eleven appearances across all competitions with Real Madrid. A cruising pace that confirms the successful integration of the 25-year-old striker into the Madrid system, after a more laborious start to the campaign.
