Raul Rosas Jr. will step into the UFC main event spotlight for the first time when he faces Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 121 on September 21 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. It marks a milestone booking for both fighters.

Rosas (12-1) has been one of the most closely watched prospects on the UFC roster since signing with the promotion in 2022 — just one month before his 18th birthday — after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. That signing made him the youngest fighter ever to join the UFC, and he quickly added another record by becoming the youngest UFC fighter to register a win when he submitted Jay Perrin on debut.

After a loss to Christian Rodriguez, the 21-year-old bantamweight has reeled off five consecutive victories, most recently earning a unanimous decision over Rob Font at UFC 326 in March.

Barcelon (22-5) arrives on an equally impressive run. Eighteen years Rosas’ senior, the Brazilian veteran has also won five straight fights, with notable victories over Montel Jackson, Ricky Simon, Cody Garbrandt, and Payton Talbott. That form has him sitting inside the top 15 of both the UFC’s official and media bantamweight rankings.

The matchup pits one of the division’s most hyped young talents against a seasoned contender who has quietly built one of the longer active win streaks in the weight class, setting up a compelling contrast of youth and experience at the top of the card.
