RAF wrestler Georgio Poullas arrested on felony battery charge after bachelor party brawl
Georgio Poullas, a wrestler known from RAF and his bouts with UFC contender Arman Tsarukyan, was arrested on a felony aggravated battery charge in Delray Beach, Florida on June 6 after allegedly throwing a man through a glass table at a bachelor party.
Georgio Poullas, a wrestler who gained recognition through RAF and two matches against UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, was arrested on a felony aggravated battery charge in Delray Beach, Florida at 3:55 a.m. on June 6. He was released on a $1,500 bond and is due back in court on July 9.
According to a police report first published by the Boca Daily News, the incident occurred at an Airbnb hosting a combined bachelor and bachelorette party. Poullas and his brother Nicholas allegedly began berating their sister, who was the bride-to-be at the event. When the groom and his brother stepped in after Nicholas allegedly pushed his sister, the confrontation turned physical.
The groom told police he was struck in the face multiple times by Nicholas Poullas and, after falling to the ground, was punched and kicked repeatedly — describing the assault as being “curb stomped.” When the groom’s brother attempted to intervene, Georgio Poullas allegedly grabbed him and slammed him onto a glass coffee table, then continued to strike and choke him.
Both victims were treated for their injuries, including lacerations. After police arrived, several attendees fled the scene. Officers deployed a K-9 unit and located the Poullas brothers hiding in a bush at a neighbouring property.
Georgio Poullas was taken into custody on the felony aggravated battery charge — defined under Florida law as intentionally or knowingly causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement. His brother Nicholas was charged with the lesser offence of simple battery.
Poullas rose to prominence through RAF, most recently competing in a rematch against Tsarukyan in March, which marked his last appearance for the promotion.
