Paris Saint-Germain, two-time defending champions, will start their 2026-2027 Champions League campaign on Wednesday, September 9. UEFA informed the Paris club of this date ahead of the Super Cup against Aston Villa.
The league phase draw will be held on Thursday, August 27 from 6 p.m. At this stage, PSG does not yet know if their first match will be at home or away.
Three French clubs are already qualified for this edition: PSG, Racing Club de Lens and LOSC Lille. Olympique Lyonnais could join them if they get past their playoff against Fenerbahçe. Lille will open the French representatives’ campaign on Tuesday, September 8, with Lens playing the following day.
In the previous season, Luis Enrique’s side launched their European campaign at Parc des Princes on September 17, 2025, crushing Atalanta Bergame 4-0. Marquinhos, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes and Gonçalo Ramos scored in that emphatic opening victory.
The 2026-2027 Champions League final is scheduled for June 5, 2027. PSG would then be targeting a third consecutive title.
