PSG target Adil Hamdani, Lyon's young attacking midfielder on academy contract
With one week left before the summer transfer window closes, Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Adil Hamdani, 17, an attacking midfielder at Olympique Lyonnais who remains on an academy contract with no professional deal signed.
Paris Saint-Germain has targeted Adil Hamdani, 17, an attacking midfielder at Olympique Lyonnais, according to L’Équipe. The capital club has one week to complete a potential transfer before the summer transfer window closes.
Hamdani, born in Paris, is capable of playing on both flanks or in support of a striker. He has already made seven appearances under Paulo Fonseca this season, but has not yet signed a professional contract with Lyon. His status as an academy contract player — valid for another year — offers PSG a window of opportunity, provided they can reach a financial agreement with OL.
Paris executives had previously attempted to recruit Laciné Megnan-Pavé, 16, a prospect from Montpellier, before turning their attention to the Lyon player. This pursuit fits into a policy of monitoring young talent in Ligue 1.
PSG has already strengthened its squad this summer with the arrivals of Maghnes Akliouche, Lucas Digne, Mika Godts and Ferran Torres. One or two additional reinforcements remain possible, particularly if Bradley Barcola or Ibrahim Mbaye were to leave the club before the market closes.
