Premiership Women's Rugby locks in The Stoop as Final venue through 2029
JAECOO Premiership Women's Rugby has confirmed The Stoop will host the PWR Final in 2027, 2028 and 2029, with the first of those fixtures set for Sunday, June 27, 2027. The deal follows a record-breaking 2025/26 season that drew more than 8,000 fans to the Harlequins ground.
Premiership Women’s Rugby has secured The Stoop as the permanent home of its showpiece final for the next three seasons, with the Harlequins ground confirmed as host for 2027, 2028 and 2029. The first of those finals is scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2027.
The announcement follows the most successful PWR season to date. This year’s final drew more than 8,000 supporters to the West London venue, where Saracens ended a four-year wait for an English league title with a commanding 52-14 victory over Trailfinders Women.
Harlequins Chief Executive Laurie Dalrymple said the 2026 event had exceeded expectations and that a long-term commitment would allow the club and the league to deepen the occasion’s identity. “By creating a permanent home for the Final over the next three years, we can continue to enhance the matchday experience, grow attendances and establish an event that is firmly marked in the sporting calendar,” he said.
The Stoop sits directly across the road from Allianz Stadium, placing the final at the heart of one of English rugby’s most recognisable locations. PWR’s Executive Chair Genevieve Shore pointed to the challenge of building audience habits as a key reason for committing to a single venue over multiple years. “One of the biggest challenges for any major sporting event is building audience habits and creating a sense of occasion that grows year on year,” Shore said. “By committing to The Stoop through to 2029, we are giving ourselves the best possible platform to do exactly that.”
The deal comes at the close of a season in which average attendances, broadcast audiences and fan engagement all rose across the competition. PWR also secured a multi-million-pound title sponsorship agreement with Chinese car brand JAECOO during the summer, a partnership that now carries naming rights to the league and its final.
