The Premier League has confirmed a full slate of Boxing Day fixtures for 2026, headlined by Newcastle United hosting Manchester City in an 8pm GMT kick-off on 26 December, as the top flight returns to a traditional festive schedule after a sparse Christmas period last year.

Just one Premier League match took place on Boxing Day 2025, with seven games instead pushed to 27 December. With 26 December falling on a Saturday in 2026, the league has restored a bumper card of seven fixtures, with Aston Villa vs Leeds kicking off the day at 12.30pm GMT and Hull vs Liverpool following at 5.30pm.

The action continues on Sunday 27 December with three matches. Frank Lampard’s Coventry face his former club Chelsea at 2pm, Manchester United host Nottingham Forest at 4.30pm, and defending champions Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace for a 7pm kick-off.

A full round of midweek fixtures follows on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December, before the festive programme concludes with a single game on New Year’s Day 2027 — Leeds entertaining Everton at Elland Road.

The league said it brought forward the selection of fixtures to give clubs and supporters more time to make travel and logistical arrangements. All clubs are guaranteed at least a 60-hour turnaround between games across the period.
