Alex Pereira will pursue history at UFC White House on June 14, when he faces Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in the co-main event — a victory that would make him the first fighter ever to claim UFC gold in three separate divisions.

Pereira, who has already held the middleweight and light heavyweight titles, addressed his ambitions in a newly released UFC promotional video. “I think greatness is drive, determination. It’s about the legacy I leave behind. That’s what greatness is to me,” he said. “Accomplishing your dreams.”

The Brazilian champion also reflected on how far he has come since his early career. “When I look at where I came from and where I am now, that means a lot to me. But I want to do something no one’s ever done: Win the belt and say I’m a three-division champion.”

Gane, a former interim heavyweight champion himself, represents a formidable obstacle. The Frenchman’s technical striking and elite grappling credentials make him one of the most complete fighters in the division, and a win over Pereira would re-establish him as the heavyweight title picture’s central figure.

The June 14 card is headlined by a lightweight title fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, setting up what promises to be one of the most significant nights in recent UFC history. Pereira’s co-main slot, however, carries its own weight of historical possibility — no fighter has ever captured a third UFC championship, and the 37-year-old appears determined to change that.
