Norris drives restored Ferrari F40 in London months after Monaco crash

Lando Norris has been photographed driving his Ferrari F40 through London, confirming the iconic supercar has been fully restored following a crash outside Monaco in January 2025 — months after the McLaren driver claimed his first Formula 1 world championship.

The F40 was damaged when a friend, driving the car while Norris was away, lost traction exiting a left-hand corner and struck the guardrails. Norris was candid about his reaction at the time. “No [it is not back to normal]. It was when I was away. I wasn’t happy at all,” he told The Sun shortly after the incident.

Norris took delivery of the F40 in the final quarter of 2024. The car is one of just 1,311 ever produced between 1987 and 1992, and carries considerable historical weight: it was the last model personally overseen by Enzo Ferrari and the first street-legal production car to exceed 200mph.

The sighting in London came shortly after Norris finished third at the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix held at the new Madring circuit. Footage of the car circulating on Instagram drew an enthusiastic response from fans. “Good to see this car on the road again, after one of his friends crashed it some time ago,” one commenter wrote, while another simply noted: “Unbelievable taste in cars.”

One fan also drew a connection to seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who recently acquired his own Ferrari F40 after previously selling off his entire car collection — unveiling the purchase ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. “Are Lando and Lewis car sharing? Velcro on the back of the number plates?” one follower quipped.

Norris’s broader collection is understood to include several McLaren models — among them a P1, a Senna, and a 765LT Spider — alongside a Lamborghini Miura P400, a Porsche Carrera GT, and a Shelby Cobra, reflecting a taste that spans both modern hypercars and classic machinery.
