Tommy McMillen and Marwan Rahiki nearly settled their featherweight rivalry three days early, requiring intervention from bystanders and UFC security after a heated confrontation at the fighter hotel in Glendale, Arizona, ahead of Noche UFC on Saturday.

The two undefeated prospects exchanged shoves before multiple people on the scene stepped in to separate them. The altercation was captured on video by JTMedia on Instagram, and comes after weeks of pointed back-and-forth between the pair in pre-fight interviews.

McMillen, 28, has made a rapid impression in the UFC with two finishes and two performance bonuses from his first two octagon appearances. His most recent outing, a victory over Alberto Montes at UFC Oklahoma City in July, drew particular attention for record-breaking striking numbers.

Rahiki has matched that momentum, also finishing both of his UFC opponents as he prepares for what represents the biggest test of his young career on Saturday night.

The two meet as the featured bout on the Noche UFC card in Glendale, with both fighters’ unbeaten records on the line.
