Finley McAllister has joined National League North side Radcliffe Borough on a month-long loan from Manchester United, with the 20-year-old Salford-born midfielder going straight into the squad for Borough’s league trip to Hebburn Town on Tuesday night.

McAllister captained United’s Under-18s to three trophies in the 2023-24 season and represented England Under-17s at that year’s World Cup. He has since established himself in United’s Under-21 setup, but this marks his first loan move away from Old Trafford as he looks to gain senior first-team experience.

The move is the latest in a flurry of academy departures from United over the past week. Chido Obi has joined Dutch side Willem II on loan, while Gabriele Biancheri has left permanently to sign for Austrian club Wacker Innsbruck.

Also among those to have moved on is Louie Bradbury, who joined Stoke City and made an immediate impact — scoring a hat-trick on his debut in a remarkable 8-5 defeat to Manchester City. Bradbury signed a two-year professional contract at Stoke, with a club option for a third year.
