Mbappé 11 goals away from Ronaldo's record, with November 2 deadline
With 89 goals scored in Real Madrid's colours over two seasons, Kylian Mbappé can overtake Cristiano Ronaldo — who reached his 100th goal on November 2, 2011 in 105 matches — and also beat Erling Haaland's mark with Manchester City.
Kylian Mbappé has a precise window to make Real Madrid history: if he scores 11 goals before November 2, 2025, he will reach his 100th goal with the Spanish club faster than Cristiano Ronaldo did.
On November 2, 2011, Ronaldo signed his 100th Real Madrid goal in a UEFA Champions League match against Olympique Lyonnais — it was his third season at the club, and it took him 105 matches to reach this symbolic milestone. Mbappé, also in the early stages of his third season, has 89 goals across all competitions.
The French striker has built this record at an impressive pace. In his first season, he scored 44 goals, including 31 in La Liga, enough to win the Golden Boot. The following season, he equalled another Ronaldo record by scoring 59 goals in a calendar year, before being hampered by knee problems. Returning to competition, he finished the 2025-2026 season with 42 additional goals.
If Mbappé crosses the 100-goal mark before November 2, he will also surpass Erling Haaland’s tally, who reached this total with Manchester City after his 111th match. The Bondy native is on a favourable run: top scorer in La Liga in his first two Real Madrid seasons, he continues to score regularly at the start of this third campaign.
