Manchester United players sign waivers for £10m Amazon documentary deal brokered by Ratcliffe

Manchester United players have signed waivers permitting Amazon to film them behind the scenes for a new ‘All or Nothing’ documentary, a deal brokered under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ownership that is expected to generate more than £10m for the club.

The series, confirmed earlier this summer as ‘All or Nothing: Manchester United’, covers the 2026/27 season. According to The Daily Mail, journalists have also signed similar waivers to allow footage from manager Michael Carrick’s press conferences to be used in the production.

Amazon’s cameras may already have captured compelling material. United lost their opening league fixture to newly-promoted Hull City at the MKM Stadium, falling 2-0 within 38 minutes and failing to recover by the final whistle — a jarring start after Carrick guided the club to the Champions League at the end of last season.

Manchester United Chief Communications Officer Toby Craig said the timing was right for the club to open its doors. “This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington,” Craig said. “We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League.”

Beyond the financial return, the arrangement will add to United’s broadcast commitments during a season that could feature up to 15 additional matches because of their return to European football.

One notable addition to the squad since the Hull defeat is midfielder Carlos Baleba, who has joined on a permanent transfer from Brighton. However, Baleba is currently recovering from an ankle injury and is not expected to be available immediately.
