Manchester United’s injury worries deepened on Sunday when Patrick Dorgu limped off after just 30 minutes of Denmark’s Nations League clash with Wales, days after captain Bruno Fernandes also picked up a problem against the same opponents while on duty with Portugal.

Dorgu, 21, had been named in the starting line-up on the left wing by Danish head coach Brian Riemer, but the United winger was unable to continue and was withdrawn early in the contest.

The timing is a concern for United, who are already monitoring Fernandes after the Portugal skipper suffered what was described as a ‘complicated problem’ in his own Nations League appearance against Wales earlier in the international window.

Both players are key figures for Ruben Amorim’s side, with Fernandes serving as club captain and Dorgu having joined United in the January transfer window. The full extent of either injury has yet to be confirmed, and United will be awaiting assessments from both national teams before determining the impact on their upcoming fixtures.
