Manchester United hire production manager to shape Amazon 'All or Nothing' documentary
Manchester United are recruiting a dedicated production manager to oversee editorial control of their upcoming Amazon 'All or Nothing' documentary, which will film at Carrington during the 2026/27 season after the club secured a record fee for the project.
Manchester United are advertising for an in-house production manager to act as their main point of contact with Amazon during the filming of the club’s ‘All or Nothing’ documentary, confirming that United will retain a degree of editorial oversight over the finished series.
The role is central to how United intend to manage the project. While Amazon will be granted behind-the-scenes access at Carrington throughout the 2026/27 season, the production manager will be responsible for exercising some editorial control over the final edit — a safeguard that previous clubs in the series, including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, also negotiated to protect against footage with legal implications or privacy concerns.
United announced last month that Amazon had paid a record fee for a documentary of this kind — more than the streaming giant paid for comparable access to Manchester City or Arsenal. Amazon’s Prime Video has promised viewers “unprecedented access” and a look “behind the curtain” at the club.
The ‘All or Nothing’ format has attracted both large audiences and persistent criticism. Detractors have argued the series functions more as club-approved promotional content than genuine documentary filmmaking. Former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho pushed back on that characterisation, saying he had “no idea” what was being filmed during his club’s edition, while Pep Guardiola similarly insisted City had no hand in what was ultimately broadcast from their 2017/18 title-winning campaign.
United’s chief communications officer Toby Craig framed the decision to open the club’s doors as a deliberate choice made at the right moment. “This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington,” Craig said when the Amazon deal was announced. “We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League.”
Filming is set to begin this summer ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
