Man Utd players fear Amazon documentary cameras are silencing dressing-room honesty
Manchester United players and staff reportedly believe the Amazon Prime 'All or Nothing' cameras are preventing frank post-match debriefs, with sources describing the crew as a 'pain' as the club sits with just two wins from nine games under Michael Carrick.
Manchester United players and staff fear that the presence of Amazon Prime’s documentary crew is undermining honest communication inside the club, with sources claiming ‘punches are being pulled’ in post-match debriefs as the Red Devils endure a troubled start to the 2025-26 season.
United are the subject of the latest instalment of Amazon’s acclaimed fly-on-the-wall series All or Nothing, with a deal worth more than £10 million agreed before the season began. A crew has been following Michael Carrick’s side throughout the campaign, capturing a turbulent summer transfer window, a string of poor results, and an explosive midweek interview from Lisandro Martinez.
According to The Sun, both players and staff feel colleagues are holding their tongue during team meetings and post-match reviews because they know the cameras are rolling. The filming setup has been described internally as a ‘pain’, with the belief that frank criticism is being suppressed to avoid it appearing on screen.
Carrick struck a relaxed tone on the matter when asked about the cameras in August. “That’s been fine,” he said. “It’s obviously a little bit new, and unique, but the actual day-to-day workings of it, we have that many cameras around anyway that the boys are kind of half-used to it. They’ve been respectful. It probably seems bigger from the outside than it is day-to-day when we’re working in it.”
However, the mood within United’s inner circle appears to have shifted now that the season is underway and results have failed to improve. With only two wins from nine games, Carrick is already facing pressure in his first season as the club’s permanent manager.
Manchester City, Tottenham, and Arsenal have all previously featured in the All or Nothing franchise, with Amazon also producing series following Australia’s Test cricket team and Premiership Rugby clubs.
Carrick insists he remains focused on reversing United’s form and dismissed suggestions that Sunday’s trip to Leeds represents a must-win fixture. “I don’t think it’s the last game I need right now, for sure,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to the game. I generally feel the drive for myself to want to push this club forward more than anything. There’s always negativity if you want to look for it or you want to feel it, but I don’t go looking for it.”
