M. Pokora and L2B unveil « Trophée », the official anthem for France's 2026 World Cup campaign
Singer M. Pokora has teamed up with Val-de-Marne rap trio L2B to compose « Trophée », the official track designed to accompany the French national team through the 2026 FIFA World Cup on July 19.
M. Pokora and rap group L2B unveiled « Trophée » on Friday, the track created to support the French national team throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The song, whose chorus directly addresses Didier Deschamps’ squad — « Who’s going to bring the trophy home? » — aims to become the soundtrack to a third French star.
Behind this collaboration lie two distinct musical universes. M. Pokora, a pop singer discovered through the « Popstars » television show and son of a former professional footballer, has never hidden his passion for football. L2B, less familiar to the general public, is a trio from Val-de-Marne made up of Kilian Sambat-Dehlot (KLN), Idrys M’Bakidi (IDS) and Dave Darryl Sanou (D2).
Comparison with anthems from previous editions is inevitable. In 2018, « Ramenez la coupe à la maison » by Vegedream accompanied France’s triumph in Russia and has now accumulated nearly 650 million views on YouTube. Four years later, in Qatar, it was « Freed from Desire » by Gala — a 1990s dance hit revived by Aurélien Tchouaméni — that rallied supporters, though without a title this time.
« Trophée » will therefore have to contend with this dual legacy: the spontaneous popular momentum of a viral hit and the pressure of a squad aiming for glory on July 19 following the competition hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
