Liverpool vs Man City moved to Sunday as Premier League reshuffles October fixtures
The Premier League has confirmed fixture changes across matchweeks six to nine, with Liverpool's home clash against Manchester City shifted to Sunday 11 October and Chelsea's meeting with Manchester United rescheduled to Halloween morning at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League has announced a new round of fixture amendments covering matchweeks six through nine, with several high-profile dates shifted ahead of the 2025-26 season getting underway.
Liverpool’s blockbuster home fixture against Manchester City at Anfield has been moved from Saturday to Sunday 11 October, with a 4:30pm kick-off now confirmed. The change is part of a broader reshuffle that affects matches running from the first international break through to the start of November.
Halloween also gets a marquee fixture, with Chelsea hosting Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 31 October in the early 12:30pm slot. It is one of the most anticipated domestic clashes of the autumn calendar and will now serve as the lunchtime showpiece on one of the season’s more unusual matchdays.
Elsewhere in the revised schedule, Sunday 1 November sees Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield in a 4:30pm kick-off, setting up a potentially pivotal back-to-back for Arne Slot’s side within the space of three weeks.
Other notable rearrangements include Arsenal travelling to Leeds on Saturday 10 October for a 12:30pm kick-off, Manchester United hosting Spurs later that same afternoon, and Aston Villa welcoming Manchester City on Saturday 24 October at 12:30pm.
