Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye on a five-year contract, with the club now turning its attention to negotiating a transfer fee with PSG for both Mbaye and his team-mate Bradley Barcola, according to reporter Fabrice Hawkins.

The 18-year-old Mbaye had attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen, but is understood to have set aside those overtures after Liverpool made their move. A fee of between £30m and £45m is expected to be required to secure the teenager, per TEAMtalk.

Barcola, 23, has been linked with a move to Merseyside throughout the summer. PSG initially valued the winger at around £145m in an effort to deter suitors, but that figure has since dropped to approximately £120m following the club’s acquisitions of Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts. Combined, Liverpool could face a total outlay of around £165m for the pair, though a joint arrangement with PSG may reduce that figure.

The pursuit of attacking reinforcements comes after a significant summer of change at Anfield. Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate, and Andy Robertson have all departed as free agents, with Liverpool bringing in Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz, and Ronald Araujo — the latter on a season-long loan — under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

Further outgoings may also be on the horizon. Cody Gakpo’s future at the club has come under scrutiny, with widespread expectation that the Dutch forward will leave despite signing a contract extension last year that runs until 2030. Liverpool will be looking to complete any remaining business before next month’s transfer deadline.
