Leeds in positive talks to sign free-agent Harry Wilson from Fulham ahead of Champions League rivals
Leeds United have held 'positive talks' with Fulham winger Harry Wilson, who is set to become a free agent at the end of June. The 29-year-old Wales international scored 10 goals and added seven assists in the Premier League this season, attracting interest from Aston Villa and Everton as well.
Leeds United are in advanced discussions to sign Harry Wilson on a free transfer after the Fulham winger’s contract expires at the end of June, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The 29-year-old Wales international enjoyed the best top-flight season of his career in 2024/25, contributing 10 goals and seven assists for Fulham in the Premier League.
Leeds are hoping to fend off competition from clubs already confirmed in next season’s Champions League to bring Wilson to Elland Road. Aston Villa, who will compete in the Champions League next term, and Everton have also been linked with the player, meaning the Whites face a genuine battle to secure his signature.
Wilson was reportedly close to joining Leeds last summer before a proposed deal collapsed on the final day of the transfer window. The renewed interest suggests the club remain convinced he is the right profile for their ambitions as they look to consolidate their return to the Premier League under Daniel Farke.
Fulham retain the option to offer Wilson a new contract before his deal officially lapses, though no such agreement has been reported. Should he leave Craven Cottage, his departure would compound an already significant period of change at the club following manager Marco Silva’s exit to Benfica.
Other clubs are said to be in contact with Wilson’s representatives, and Leeds are aware they must move decisively to complete the deal. Wilson turns 30 in March 2026, but his age does not appear to be dampening interest from potential suitors across the division.
