Lightweight veteran Alan ‘King’ Green will face Terrance McKinney at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas, MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin and Mike Heck confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup, with Heavy.com first reporting the bout.
The fight will be Green’s 31st appearance inside the octagon — a remarkable tally that underscores his status as one of the division’s longest-serving fighters. Carrying a record of 35-17-1 with one no-contest overall, and 16-12-1 with one no-contest for the promotion, Green is currently riding a three-fight win streak after submitting fellow veteran Jeremy Stephens in the first round at UFC 328 in May. The 39-year-old’s longevity is illustrated by a simple stat: when McKinney made his octagon debut in 2021, Green was already 15 fights into his UFC career.
McKinney arrives as a sharp contrast in style and trajectory. The 18-8 lightweight has won three of his last four, most recently stopping Kyle Nelson in just 24 seconds at UFC Seattle. That finish extended one of the more striking statistical streaks in the division: McKinney has never gone to the scorecards in 26 professional bouts, and none of his past seven fights have survived past the midway point of Round 1.
For Green, whose durable chin and polished standup have kept him competitive across a decade-long UFC tenure, McKinney represents a genuine finishing threat — and a test of whether that win streak has genuine momentum behind it.
UFC 329 is headlined by the return of former two-division champion Conor McGregor, who faces past rival Max Holloway in a welterweight rematch.
