Real Madrid obtained one of the most favourable draws in the Champions League league phase following the draw held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

The Madrid side will host Inter Milan, Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven and AS Roma at Santiago Bernabéu, before travelling to RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, LASK and AEK Athens. A fixture list that, on paper, puts the Spanish club in a strong position to finish in the top 8 and qualify directly for the round of 16.

For Kylian Mbappé, this draw means no return to France. The fraternal duel with his brother Ethan, who plays for Lille and had expressed his dream of facing the Real Madrid player in the competition, will not take place at this stage of the tournament.

Real Madrid, the defending champions, approach this new edition as one of the major favourites, and their draw should not change that status.
