England survived a tense 3-2 contest against Mexico in the World Cup Round of 16 on Monday, 6 July, to reach the quarter-finals, with Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham leading the Three Lions through a fiercely contested clash played in the early hours of the UK morning.

Watching from the stands, Kane’s wife Kate shared her reaction on Instagram after the final whistle, posting a photo of the couple together at the stadium alongside the caption: “let’s goooooo England!!! WHAT A TEAM.”

Before kick-off, Kate had already documented the occasion on social media, sharing a carousel of images that included one of their children wearing an England shirt with “Kane” on the back and holding a sign reading: “Go daddy we love you!”

The match, delayed to around 2am UK time, drew concerns ahead of kick-off about whether England could cope with the conditions inside the Mexico stadium. Kane and Bellingham ultimately helped put those worries to rest, guiding the side through what proved to be an adrenaline-filled encounter.

Kane and Kate, who began dating as teenagers, married on 19 June 2019. The couple have four children — daughters Ivy and Vivienne, and sons Louis and Henry. The family relocated to Germany following Kane’s high-profile move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich.
