Kardashian jokes about Monaco snub as Brundle finally lands his Singapore grid walk interview
Kim Kardashian addressed the awkward moment she stayed silent during Martin Brundle's Monaco grid walk by laughing it off ahead of the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, where she attended to support partner Lewis Hamilton.
Kim Kardashian finally sat down — or rather, stood on the grid — with Martin Brundle at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, breaking the silence that had followed her now-infamous Monaco moment earlier this season at Marina Bay Circuit.
Brundle opened the exchange with a simple greeting, to which Kardashian immediately leaned into the elephant in the room. “Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot?” she joked, drawing laughter from the veteran broadcaster. “No, it’s absolutely fine,” Brundle replied. “It’s great to have you here, Kim, at this grand prix. What are your thoughts on the exciting world of Formula 1?”
The backstory dates to the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year, when Brundle approached Kardashian on the grid as her relationship with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was becoming public knowledge. She chose to remain silent on that occasion, letting the spectacle of the race weekend speak for itself — a moment that quickly circulated across social media.
This time, Kardashian was more forthcoming. “I think it’s amazing, and fun, and wild, and something I’ve never seen before,” she told Brundle. “It’s amazing.”
Brundle steered the conversation toward Hamilton, noting that “her man Lewis” was in “great form” after the Ferrari driver had finished second in Saturday’s Singapore sprint race behind Max Verstappen’s Red Bull. “He is,” Kardashian confirmed. “I’m just praying for the best tonight.”
Asked whether Hamilton appeared confident, she was unequivocal. “Yes, very confident. And so am I. Just got to pray for the best.”
Hamilton had qualified third for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix, behind team-mate Charles Leclerc in second and Verstappen on pole. Verstappen had taken victory in the sprint and was targeting a repeat result in the main race.
The Ferrari driver acknowledged Kardashian’s presence warmly after finishing second behind Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli. “It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,” Hamilton said. The couple have now been seen together publicly at several race weekends, with Singapore marking another step into the full Formula 1 spotlight for Kardashian.
