Juventus threatens to abandon Kolo Muani if PSG maintains €45M asking price
Giovanni Carnevali, Juventus chief executive, has publicly denounced PSG's asking price for Randal Kolo Muani, valued at over €45 million, warning that the Turin club will turn to other targets if no compromise is reached.
Juventus Turin has put Paris Saint-Germain on notice: if the Parisian club does not lower its demands for Randal Kolo Muani, the Bianconeri will look elsewhere. Giovanni Carnevali, chief executive of the Turin club, has publicly expressed his frustration, clearly setting the limits of negotiations.
“The asking price is too high. Either we reach an agreement, or we will turn to another player. The amount demanded by PSG exceeds €45 million,” Carnevali said on Rai Gr Parlamento. A statement that reflects the impasse in which discussions between the two clubs have found themselves for several weeks.
The future of the French international at PSG nonetheless appears sealed. Despite the recent departure of Gonçalo Ramos, Kolo Muani would no longer be in PSG’s plans for next season. Juventus, where the striker had rediscovered form during his loan in 2025, had established itself as his most likely destination. But negotiations have never come to fruition, and the matter is now at a standstill.
Carnevali also used this media appearance to draw a broader assessment of the structural difficulties facing Italian football. “The cost of players continues to rise to reach almost prohibitive levels, while the revenues of Serie A clubs are not keeping pace with championships like the Premier League. It is necessary to reduce costs, and achieving financial balance proves difficult. One only has to look at our championship to see that the transfer market is currently at a standstill,” he added.
These statements sound like a discreet ultimatum to PSG: without concessions on price, Juventus will redirect its efforts toward other profiles. For Kolo Muani, time is running out.
